I was diagnosed with femoral-popliteal phlebothrombosis and prescribed treatment. Is it possible to get rid of it completely with proper treatment, or will I have to take medication and wear elastic bandages and stockings for life?

Dilated skin capillaries are called telangiectasias. In most women, they appear between the ages of 25 and 30. Telangiectasias do not always result from varicose vein disease. If telangiectasias are accompanied by leg swelling, this may be a sign of chronic venous insufficiency. In such cases, a consultation with a phlebologist and an ultrasound examination is necessary.

To prevent telangiectasias from spreading, they should be treated. The main methods for removing “spider veins” include microsclerotherapy, transdermal laser coagulation, radiofrequency coagulation, and ozone sclerotherapy. Our clinic uses the most advanced technique — CLaCS (Cryo-Laser and Cryo-Sclerotherapy). This is a combination of transdermal laser coagulation and sclerotherapy, performed with continuous cold air cooling of the skin.
